Carlström made a portrait of the exentric actor Kjell Bergqvist and Karlsson depicted the alliance between the Socialdemocrats and the Swedish Green Party, interpreted as a bunch of flowers.

Out Of Office is a new freelance group consisting of fifteen creatives with different skills, initiated by the Art Director Justine Lagache. Annelie Carlström illustrated portraits of each one of them with a personal attribute. The illustrations are part of Out Of Office's Graphic Profile and can be seen on both the website and on their business cards. The illustrations above depicts Graphic Designer Sarah Tjellander and Art Director Anna-Pi Lennstrand.

Amongst others, Annelie Carlström portraited the Swedish media personality Alex Schulman, who's mother got really excited and bought the illustration as a birthday present to her son. In the latest issue of the Swedish popular science magazine Forskning & Framsteg, you can read about how children become more and more premature. In America they talk about the new phenomenon Tweens, as in "in between". Tweens are premature in the sense that they know about the world without having experienced it. The youth ideal has become much stronger in every part of society due to the massive torrent of information and advertising. Annelie Carlström illustrated the article showing Astrid Lindgren's child-characters Tommy and Annika from Pippi Longstocking dressed up as young adults.

Unlike the first issue of the Swedish magazine Fashion Tale, which was strictly photographed, the next issue is all about illustration. The creative team behind the magazine, Carl-Axel Wahlström and Hanna Hedman, engaged eleven illustrators, paired up with stylists, to interpret one fashion tale each based on a given theme. Annelie Carlström illustrated her story together with stylist Kattis Lindoff. This second issue, with Worldwide distribution, will be in stores by mid-December!

The Spring/Summer 2009 collection by Swedish designers Minimarket was well received at Stockholm Fashion Week. With inspiration from fairytales such as Alice in Wonderland the catwalk had playing cards scattered along it, and at the end a ten meter high card house. The illustrations on the cards and on the invitation were made by Annelie Carlström.

Gringo - Tankesultanen

In issue number #3 of Gringo magazine you can read Elaine Bergqvist's chronical where she reflects over the fact that everyone tells you you're good enough as you are, but still people try to change themselves into someone they're not. Swedes get cancer as a result of their desire to get a dark tan, and Afro-Americans use dangerous chemicals in their ambition to get a lighter skin tone. Annelie Carlström made a portrait of Elaine based on the article.
