A Pistachios animation for Vital Voices, an organisation working globally for women's independence. This film tells the childhood story of Kakenya Ntaiya, a Masai woman who negotiated herself out of an arranged marriage and convinced her village to collect money for her to study in the USA. She has since returned to the village and built a girls' school there.

Pistachios - New Talent at Woo Agentur!

Måns Swanberg creates experimental mixed-media animation under the name Pistachios since 2003. Depending on the project at hand, he will use any combination of 2D, 3D, photography, illustration, paper cut-out, stop motion, film and video. He strives to produce work with a strong aesthetic integrity, with a lot of attention put into narration, timing and composition.
His work has been awarded at Promax, the Type Directors Club, The Swedish Grammies and the Kolla! awards. He has created music videos for bands such as the Hives and the Concretes, as well as broadcast graphics and animations for MTV, Sveriges Television and Fuse Network. In 2008, he teamed up with author Douglas Coupland to produce a spot for Barack Obama's presidential campaign.
