Swedes get cancer as a result of their desire to get a dark tan, and Afro-Americans use dangerous chemicals in their ambition to get a lighter skin tone. Annelie Carlström made a portrait of Elaine based on the article.

The Spring/Summer 2009 collection by Swedish designers Minimarket was well received at Stockholm Fashion Week. With inspiration from fairytales such as Alice in Wonderland the catwalk had playing cards scattered along it, with these motivs on them. At the end a ten meter high card house was built.
